What's SHiFT going to be about?
SHiFT will be all about emerging technologies, whether they’re the latest internet trend or the latest social or psychological development. SHiFT will evolve around five major areas, and the idea is to have contributions about them from all sections of society:
- People and Technology
- Knowledge Management
- Civic Participation
- Rights, Liberties and Privacy for the Digital Age
- New forms of Economics
Workshops
Apart from the Conference, there are going to be four workshops on September 26 to 27th:
- Designing the Next Generation of Web Applications with Peter Merholz
- Creativity with Dannie Jost & Henriette Weber Andersen
How to Participate
Participating in SHiFT costs 250 Euros. But besides the ticket, there will be several ways to really make the most out of SHiFT. The first step is to register and secure a place, but there will be different ways to really participate in SHiFT starting by sending in suggestions to the organization.

Golden Ticket
If you can give SHiFT a hand by promoting it you may see your ticket upgraded into a Golden Ticket, who will give FREE entry to all of the Workshops and full access to SHiFTs backstage events, including the ones only for speakers.
FREE ticket for volunteers
The organization will need 4 volunteers to help out before, during and after SHiFT. Volunteers can enter for FREE but they will have to work at least half a day during the conference. Interested? See what we are looking for in Volunteers.
